American Savings Education Council (ASEC) and America Saves have joined forces to broaden the coalition that supports AmericaSavesWeek.org and take initiatives to make EVERY week America Saves Week. The intention is to communicate a simple but critically important message to all Americans: Build wealth, not debt. The long-term goal is to join together thousands of employers, financial institutions, government leaders, nonprofit networks, and other organizations to use the Week to persuade tens of millions of Americans to save and build wealth more effectively. This “fiscal fitness” will range from paying off high-cost debt, to ensuring adequate emergency savings, to accumulating home equity, to saving for retirement.
